1] Post in the Appropriate Place
Each section has a description explaining the type of threads found within them. While Administrators and Moderators do have the ability to move topics between the sections and occasional mistakes will be made, habitual posting in the wrong sections by any member will only annoy the staff and result in a written warning via PM.

2] Learn to Search
Please learn to use the Search function before posting a topic to avoid duplicate threads, thus making the board less cluttered and easier to browse.

3] Attempt to Use Proper English
We don't expect perfection, but we do expect an honest effort. If you are not a good speller, type your posts into a word-processing program and spell-check them before posting them. In addition, no leet speak will be tolerated.

4] Post With Intelligence
There will be times in discussions when members will inevitably disagree, in such cases all members are expected to act like educated and sensible individuals. No flaming, trolling, bullying or general personal insults will be tolerated. Posts which break this rule will be edited by staff to remove any offensive material. Members who consistently break this rule will be banned.

5] No Backseat Moderating (Mini-Modding)
Backseat moderating is any action by a member that serves only to point out another members failure to follow the rules. This means that members should not be seen telling other members not to use leet speak, telling them to get back on topic etc. One well-meaning, helpful suggestion phrased in a kind and respectful manner is usually tolerable, a string of them is not. When members find a post that fails to follow the rules, they are encouraged to message the staff detailing the thread where the post is located.

6] Stay On Topic
Hijacking threads and dragging them off-topic for your own purposes will not be tolerated. It is natural for discussions to evolve. It is not natural for them to take a 90-degree turn into a completely unrelated direction.

7] Links, Images and Avatar Rules
Images in posts are permitted, provided they are a respectful size. Otherwise we strongly suggest you post a link to any image rather than posting the image itself. Do not direct/hot-link images or avatar images, host the images yourself so you can link to them from your own space. Take the time to resize your chosen avatar pictures to help improve page loading times, the maximum size permitted is 150 x 150px. Also, when posting a link or choosing an avatar, be aware that many people access this site from work/school. No offensive avatars are allowed and any link that isn't work/school safe should be noted as such in the post.

8] Multiple Posts
Multiple consecutive posts (known as multiposting) is strongly discouraged. Each post has an “Edit” button to allow members to make corrections or additions to their posts. We would greatly appreciate it if members would make use of this function to avoid cluttering up the threads with multiple posts. Any member found consistently multiposting will receive a written warning via PM.

These rules will be updated as needed.
